File or Media field in Braineet

An file or media field is a type of field that allows you to attach one or more files, images or links directly to your projects.

You can create a new file or media field by Adding a field with the "File or Media" type.

Uploading files or media

To upload an attachment in the attachment field, you can click the Add a file or media button to which you'd like to add an attachment or a link. This will bring up a file uploader dialog which will let you upload files or media from your computer or add a link.

View an attachment within Braineet

To view a file or a media on Braineet, you just need to click on it. Only certain file types can be displayed within Braineet : Microsoft office files, PDF, images, video.

Downloading attachments

You can download each individual file or Media by clicking the Download icon (when viewing a single file). Any users, of any permission level, can download the files stored in the file or media field if they have access to the project.

Renaming attachments

To rename an attachment, click the pencil icon while in the expanded cell view or the lightbox view. The pencil icon appears in the expanded cell view when you mouse over an attachment thumbnail, and at in the bottom left of the screen while in lightbox view.
