User field in Braineet

The User field allows you to select one or more names from an automatically generated dropdown list of users from the platform, to invite people or just tap a name as a text. There are additional options discussed below that allow for referencing non-collaborators as well as inviting new collaborators in this field.

You can create a new user field by Adding a field with the "User" type.

The User field offers a few features that are outlined more extensively below, but some highlights worth noting are the ability to:

• Notify users when they are added to a project.
• Assign single or multiple users to a project in Braineet.
• Add new users to the platform you are working in from the User field.
• Reference non-base collaborators

By editing the configuration of the custom field, you can toggle on option to invite & give access to the user that will be added in this field.

If this option is activated, the list of users will have access to edit or read the project based on the permission dropdown :

If this option is activated, if you add an email that is not link to any users of the platform, an invitation will be sent to this email.

FAQ

• Can I have multiple User fields with different users or same users on the same portfolio with & without Permission?

  Yes you can have multiple user fields, it won’t cause any issue even if the same users is assigned in different fields for the same project.
